Is it Winter? Is it Spring? Who knows at the moment! Yesterday felt like Spring has arrived but today Winter has returned and we woke up with snow again! March has definitely come in like a Lion.
As I have trawled around all my favourite activewear stores (and even found some exciting new ones this month) there is definitely a very retro theme to some of the colours and styles. But as we go into the new season don't forget to check out the sales, always some great bargains to be had and the mid season sales are all on NOW.
Take a look at what I'm loving this month!

Sweaty Betty have definitely got the 70s vibe going on in their new Spring range. Lots of retro colours and styles, and I'm loving the plum/wine colour. I particularly love the Cross Train Hoody in oxblood and the Morgan Workout Vest in cornflower. Sweaty Betty have also just released a new sports bra which I love the look of and will be on my wish list when I need a new one. It's called the All Train bra. It is suitable for all high impact activities, has bonded seams to prevent chafing and it looks great too. It only comes in two colours at the moment but I really like the beetle blood colour shown below. And finally from Sweaty Betty, everyones favourite type of activewear...loungewear. A line of fab new slogan sweats, the "no pain no champagne" one is definitely my favourite!
I was excited to find a new store this month called Dharma Bums, an ethical clothing brand from Australia. The focus is on the more holistic yoga and barre market but some beautiful clothing nonetheless. Worth knowing that they have a loyalty programme too so if you love their clothing then you can earn points as you shop to redeem against future orders.
Following the retro theme, I love this Bamboo Twisted Back Tee in wine. It would look great with an obligatory pair of black leggings, or something more daring if you prefer. All of the tops have a simple design and are just waiting to be paired up with a beautiful bra. I like the combination of the Diamond Back Tee in white with the Qi Flow Bra in cloud. There is also some great leggings, all very floral and tropical. My faves were the Butterfly High Waist Printed Activewear and Yoga Leggings.
Your activewear look would not be complete without a new pair of trainers and there are plenty out there to keep up the retro theme - single colour, timeless styles. First up is the Under Armour Breath Lace Training Shoes in purple. I have never tried Under Armour shoes before but these are a lightweight, lace-less shoe and look very stylish, especially with some of the styles that I have mentioned above. I am also a little bit in love with these new Nike Air Max Thea in barely rose, so pretty! Nike have always been my first choice for footwear. And that leaves the Adidas Ultra Boost 4 in...well any of the colours really. I used Ultra Boost for my last marathon and they successfully got me round!
The March edit wouldn't be complete without a pair of retro leggings to complete our look. There were lots of great ones but I liked the L'Urv First Place Moto Leggings in fig, just because they are slightly different to the usual style but look great.
One final piece to leave you with that I have absolutely fallen in love with this month, which is the Apres Knitted Stripe Jumper. It's part of the ski range from Active In Style, and comes in at a rather pricey £195! It is made with super fine merion wool yarn which I can only presume is laced with gold otherwise how can anyone justify spending that much on a jumper?! Still, I love it anyway and fortunately it's out of stock at the moment. I will be keeping my eye on their sale though!
