I'm no fashion guru but I do spend a considerable amount of my time in active wear so I thought it would be fun for me to bring you my top finds every month. It seems that January 2018 is all about the grey. But unlike the weather, grey active wear is much more cheerful, mixed with lots of pinks and fabulous leggings.
This is what I'm loving this month!

Sweaty Betty are really pushing their leggings this January, and I'm a big fan. Their current ad campaign features the popular Zero Gravity Leggings but I am rather liking the Reversible Yoga Leggings. They have a pattern on one side and black on the other, so they always match. The great thing about these leggings, aside from the thick waistband which is a huge plus, is that because they are designed for yoga they are more stretchy and more opaque than usual. This does not mean they only need to be used for yoga, they would be great for running or any outdoor workouts.
Also from Sweaty Betty is the Breeze Merino Long Sleeve Run Top, my favourite colour is the liberated pink. Because it's made from a Merino fabric, it is both lightweight and temperature-regulating, making it great for layering at this time of year. Merino is a type of wool that is finer, softer and more sensitive than other wools, making it a popular design choice for performance activewear.
If you're looking for something a bit cheaper then Tesco have 20% off sportswear right now. I am loving the Colour Block Quick Dry Leggings for a rather frugal £11.20 and the Mesh Panelled Lifestyle Trainers for just £12.80. In my experience Tesco's Active range of trainers are lightweight and comfortable, great if like me you need a backup pair for indoor workouts.
So should you buy cheap trainers? I wouldn't recommend for anything sports-specific or long distance running but if you need a pair for the gym or a low impact indoor workout or even just to transport you to your yoga class then these are good to go.
I am also loving the Tesco loungewear at the moment and it is an absolute steal. I picked up a fab Weekend Vibes Slogan Sweatshirt the other day for just £7. It's so soft and light and great to put on when you're chilling out at home
Another great budget find were these Cross Back Stripe Tops from Next. They are vey thin and light so great for layering over a contrasting sports bra. They come in four colours, my favourite is the Teal, but for just £12 each you could get all the colours! I've already been stocking up ready for the warmer weather.
On Instagram recently I stumbled across the fitness and lifestyle brand Hey! Holla. They have lots of great slogan tops and fitness accessories; including the "Lattes and Pilates" Drop Arm Tank and the "Peace, Love & Peanut Butter" Organic Grey Sweatshirt being two of my favourites.
I also discovered they do Gym Top, Fit Kit Gift Boxes, which include a slogan top, hair ties, mantra cards and a black postcard, all packaged in a rather nifty monochrome gift box. I love stuff like this and would be over the moon to receive it and I'm sure you would too...perhaps forward this link on to the love of your life ready for Valentines day next month!
Included in the gift box are the No Kink Hair Ties, which look great. They are also available to buy separately for £3.75 in loads of different colours. I'm definitely going to be trying these!
